[A continuation of this long text message convo.]

[As promised, Seifer kept his dorm room front door unlocked. He sat in the small kitchen and, as he mentioned before, he was studying. Books laid out and one glance at the table would make it obvious he's studying with all the note-taking he's doing. Huh, who knew he could be studious if he really wanted to be. He hit the send button to send one last message to Zell before putting his phone down taking the last bit of notes he wanted to remember for the exam tomorrow. He figured he could look these over in the morning before the exam itself. This was easy street anyway so Seifer was confident he'd pass it.

He then looked at the front door and give it a squinty-eyed look for a moment. He shook his head before he said in a normal tone of voice.]

I told you the door's unlocked. Open it. Don't make me call you chicken wuss.

[And with that, he grinned. He figured he'd get Zell's attention that way.]

Ya I wouldn’t want to be in his shoes. And it is kind of messed up that they let a 17 year old run this place.

I'm one of the last people in the world to say something like this but let's leave judgement of this until we see each other again, yeah? It's only fair. If need be, we can compare battle scars or some shit.

That's exactly what I mean. Shouldn't the Headmaster find a replacement or some shit? Or how about letting someone like Xu do it since she's been a SeeD a helluva lot longer?

By the by, has this thing always been here at the Fire Cavern? That thing looks fucking gigantic.

[Seifer attached a picture. It was clearly the Fire Cavern with a few bombs around but zoomed in is a gigantic creature that looks like a Catoblepas.]

So Scan brings up that it's a Behemoth but I don't remember them looking like this! I wonder if it's a GF. If it is, I want it.

I also don't have a death wish. When you get back, come with me to go get this. I'm heading back to campus and practicing at the Training Center instead. The bombs here are too easy.

Any news on what the monster is that you'll need to vanquish?

Of course you want it. I’m just happy that you aren’t fighting it on your own! We will have to do some scouting when I get back.

And I have no idea! The village doesn’t seem to know what it is either. It attacks at night.
